Why
is it taking a long time to
download our sample?
When listening to any music,
the value of your listening
experience is dependent on the
quality of the sound recording
you are hearing. We want you
to get the most benefit from
using our music.
Typically, music downloads
offered on the internet are
available in a file format known
as MP3 compression. MP3 'compression'
does what it says - it compresses
or reduces the quality of ANY
recording you download from
the web by extracting only a
percentage of the sound information
contained within the full recording.
MP3 provides faster downloads
over your internet connection
but the "price" you
pay for fast download speeds
is a reduction in the sound
quality of the music you download
in this format.
Our bodies respond to a wide
range of frequencies in the
sound spectrum. We hear from
as low as 20 Hz to as high as
20,000 Hz in our audible range.
So when you only listen to MP3
music files, you are reducing
the range of frequencies your
system can benefit from, if
you use MP3 on a regular or
exclusive basis.
This sample of "Brain
Tape" is a 2-minute excerpt
from Track 1. It is a digital
CD recording and is only available
in '.WAV' file format. WAV music
files are the only files that
contain complete digital information
from a CD music track. The size
of the file you are downloading
is approximately 10 MB.
Downloading
this sample for the first time:
Download speeds will vary between
2 - 5 minutes, depending on
the type of internet connection
you use. If you have broadband,
it will be faster than a dial-up
connection.
