	Introduction Our Tuning Fork Practitioner Training is part of our program of sound therapy courses that are dedicated to the INNER SOUND method of sound therapy. The simplicity & purity of harmonic tones produced by INNER SOUND tuning forks promote a deep state of relaxation that supports the body's ability to restore and regenerate balance and healthy function. If you are a therapist, you can incorporate this versatile sound therapy technique to enhance your clients' treatments. If you're attending our courses for personal interest, this technique will give you & your family a simple and effective method for releasing physical or emotional stress & tension that accumulates over the short or long-term.
	What is the training about? In this training, we teach you basic principles of how sound can be used to release tensions & blockages at all levels of the body. Sound is applied using INNER SOUND tuning forks, combining pairs of frequencies in particular sequences. Each sequence promotes an organized subtle vibration movement in your body which travels through your whole system, encouraging release, promoting balance & inducing a state of deep relaxation.
	What is the difference between the Basic & Advanced levels? We offer training - and certification as a qualified practitioner - at two distinct levels. Basic & Advanced levels cover all aspects of our tuning fork training. Our Basic Level course requires no previous experience or prior knowledge of the subject matter. You can take either course for personal or professional use. Certification as a qualified practitioner and purchase of any tuning forks is entirely your choice. What will the course cover? (contents, themes, projects) The Basic Level training covers: - physical properties of sound - how tuning forks can be used to relax the body - treatment protocols - how to create a treatment - contra-indications - over-activation symptoms - recommended uses for INNER SOUND Tuning Forks - Spiral of Fifths (set of 13 forks), Personal Tuners (set of 3), OM Tuners (set of 3) - certification criteria The Advanced Level training covers: - detailed information regarding the INNER SOUND 'motifs' which are composed of sequential pairs of tuning forks to provide a healing focus - developing treatments to work with a variety of specific physical, emotional, mental & energetic themes Students receive manuals containing detailed notes; tests for certification & case study criteria.
	What can I expect to gain from taking this training? By the end of the Basic training you will be able to: - give a basic 'short' or 'long' tuning fork treatment to yourself & others - distinguish which pairs of tuning forks in the INNER SOUND sets will balance different areas of the body - describe how sound produced by INNER SOUND tuning forks travels through the body - recognize common over-activation symptoms By the end of the Advanced training, you will have added to your skills and be able to: - create tailored treatments combining the use of short or long basic sessions, matrices & 'motifs' to work with different themes such as dysfunctional habits & behaviors, self-esteem, control, living your own life/truth How will I be taught? Discussion; demonstration; practice; pair work; feedback and questions. This is both a theoretical training and practice-based course. Students are given ample opportunity to use the tuning forks both on yourself and on others.
	How long is the course? Each level of training is a 2 day course: Basic Level - 12 hours; Advanced Level - 16 hours How much does the training cost? Current Fee: 120.00 per training - tuition and manuals only Registrations received 8 weeks in advance of Course Dates are eligible for £10.00 discount. Registration closes 4 weeks before Course Dates anywhere other than in Twickenham. Your payment options are: 1) cheque, 2) bank to bank transfer, 3) credit card payments via Paypal invoice (sent by email on request) Are there any other costs? (e.g. certification, materials, equipment or books I need to buy before or during the course?) INNER SOUND tuning forks sets range in price from 60.00 - 355.00 Administration charge for practitioner certification - 50.00 (US dollars) These are both optional additional costs. You are not obliged to buy any forks or qualify as a practitioner
	How do I get certified as an INNER SOUND Tuning Fork Practitioner? You complete a minimum number of case studies; submit multiple choice tests (provided with manuals); complete an interview and perform a treatment under observation. As a certified practitioner, you qualify for membership of the International Sound Therapy Association (www.soundtherapyassociation.org). Your details are added to the Practitioner Page of the Inner Sound websites, if you so wish. Our practitioners are based in different regional (UK) locations.
